Dragon Ball Universe
One of the big improvements over the last game is the story telling and how detailed the story is. In Tenkaichi 2, you had approximately three cut scenes in the whole game. The basic was that you played by missions but the missions did not represented the cartoons. One was asked to kill some guy, so you did, but instead of your opponent dying in the game, you were the one that died. In addition, sometimes you would be asked to survive the match for a certain time but instead you would die. This problem was however fixed in Tenkaichi 3. Tenkaichi 3 redesigned the DBZ series story in an extraordinary way. First of all, at the beginning of every match there is a cut scene with dialogue between the opponents, just like in the cartoons.
This is how it works: Each fight has different stages, you can press “1″ to go from stage to stage, even though is not necessary if you do not want to. After you press “1″ when necessary, there will be another cut scene and some dialogue, the fight will progress just like in the anime. Another big improvement is that you are not able to transform while in battle, instead there will be times where you press “1” and you will transform into the transformation you are supposed to. Therefore, you will play the game just as it happened in the cartoons. In addition, in the end of every important match, you will have to press “1” and you will do the same special attack as they did in the cartoons to end the battle. There will be sometimes that when the cut scene ends the opponent would launch a special attack or collide in which you have to drum the wiimote and nunchuck as fast as you can or press a sequence of buttons. The only downside in the Story part of the game is that there is less battles. However, you would not care since there are three different difficulties with improved AI. Normal is even harder than hard in Tenkaichi 2.
New Features
With a new game of DBZ always come new characters. Tenkaichi 3 has over 150 characters, at least 30 of them new to the series. There is also a little improvement in the graphics department with better character models and more special effects. Game play wise the Wii controls are very different from last year’s game. You will not have to point at the screen to do special attacks instead; you will do the motion for each attack. However, if you don’t want to use the Wiimote, don’t worry you can also use your Game Cube controllers or the Virtual Controller.

The battles are a lot more intense and immersive since each character has their own special combos, moves, special attacks etc… You can definitely notice that Goku in Super Sayin 4 is a lot faster than Goku in Super Sayin 2. There is also new stages and music, with the new inclusion of night in the stages.

Multiplayer
One can play against a friend locally. The game supports 2 players with split screen. In multiplayer you will be able to play 1 vs. 1 or up to 5 vs. 5 the multiplayer is always fun and more with the Wii. Kicking you friends a** with motion sensing is amazing.
